The following is a letter from Kyaw Thinn (Leo Tan) written on behalf of Mrs. Doreen A. Logie.

19th September, 2001

Dear Alumni,

I went to see Mrs Logie this afternoon and found her well. She has asked me to tell everyone who attended the Reunion, gave her presents and sent her gifts from all over the world, a very big "Thank you" via the website. She is very sorry that she is unable to thank everyone individually. She still has problems writing since she broke her right thumb over a year ago. So she has delegated the task of writing this letter to me. She is still talking about how marvellous everyone has been to her and has the group photograph taken at the Stourport Manor Hotel on the 8th of July by her bedside. She takes so much pride in telling all her visitors and fellow residents at the Home about her school and the students who passed through the school. I am sure that we all feel equally proud and thankful for having the good fortune of attending such a school. It was also through it that we have forged so many lasting and strong friendships. I sincerely hope that the links that we have established will grow stronger and longer as time passes.

Best wishes to all there and my heartfelt condolences for the tragedy that struck the USA last Tuesday. I pray that a lasting peace returns to the world soon.

Leo
